Welcome to Little Greens!
What is Little Greens? Created by eight year old Sydne Watts, Little Greens is a 501(c)3 youth volunteer organization dedicated to cleaning up the streets, streams, parks and yards of Cherokee County, Georgia. The Little Greens pick up trash, recycle containers, and plant gardens in our communities to promote environmental conservation and keep our neighborhoods clean.
How did this all start?
Our Story: Sydne noticed trash scattered along the roads of the Cherokee County that she and her mom drove along. Couldn't someone do something about all this? she wondered. Yes, someone could. And that someone wasn't about to wait for an adult to catch the hint! Sydne then took the initiative to start up Little Greens, and soon, she and a group of her friends brainstormed ideas for their future as community volunteers and created their mission statement.
